ABOUT
Our goal for this class is for all students to pass the New York State Second Language Proficiency Exam in June. The exam is comprised of four components; speaking, listening, reading comprehension, and writing.
Passing this exam grants students with their high school graduation credit for foreign language, therefore they may choose to go onto higher level foreign language classes or be done with the language all together.
Failure of this exam results in students taking Spanish I at the high school in order to obtain their graduation credit.
Important note about exam: Since this is a state credit bearing exam, there will only be one opportunity to take the exam. We will not know the specific date until the final exam schedule is released later in the year, but the exam has taken place between June 10th-June20th in the past, so please keep that in mind when planning vacations.
